Mentee Expectations

As a Mentee, you’re here to lean in, take ownership, and stay engaged in your own growth. This checklist breaks down what’s expected to help you stay on track and get the most out of your experience. When you show up with focus and follow-through, you’ll build real momentum—and the confidence to thrive in every stage ahead. The eXp Mentor Program sets the pace for a strong start in your real estate career.

Communication & Professionalism

  • Respond promptly to mentor communication (within 24–48 hours).

  • Work with your mentor to understand their availability and respect their work/life balance.

  • Notify your mentor if you’ll be unavailable due to other commitments.

Learning & Participation

  • Complete the Introduction to the Mentor Program Course

  • Complete the required GO! Curriculum (Fundamentals & Production) in the eXp Learning Platform.

  • Attend all scheduled one-on-one or group meetings with your mentor.

  • Participate in state/provincial meetings to stay informed of laws, rules, and industry changes.

  • Submit NPS Surveys during your enrollment in the program.

  • Be proactive in participating in shadowing opportunities with your mentor when offered.

  • Adjust your schedule to prioritize field learning (shadowing, showings, open houses, etc.).

Collaboration & Accountability

  • Take initiative: use the resources outlined in this checklist and available in the program (e.g., eXp

  • University, the Official Mentee Community).

  • Shadowing is not automatic—ask for it, and be flexible with your schedule to participate.

  • Understand that your mentor is not responsible for: Teaching KVCore, Skyslope, or Revenue Share, General eXp onboarding and tools (use eXp University or eXpert Care for these)

Getting Support

Use your state or provincial broker(s) for compliance-related issues, and contractual help (if Mentor is temporarily unavailable).

  • Attend state/provincial-level trainings regularly.

  • For non-program-specific questions (e.g., tech, business cards), reach out to expertcare@exprealty.net

  • For Mentor Program–specific help, email mentorprogram@exprealty.net

NOTE: Mentees who choose not to actively participate with their mentor or in the program remain responsible for all associated program fees.
